Our client desired the ability to exercise horses near their American Barn stabling. Together with the client, we designed a horse exercise menage that is accessible directly from the stables, as well as having an entrance out to the yard.
Ensuring good drainage was essential, so we removed topsoil to establish a solid base and applied a well-draining stone layer on top of a weed prevention membrane. This layer was blinded, and we then covered it with a further membrane to prevent the top dressing of waxed sand from mixing with the stone.
High fencing made from treated timbers, along with sand kick boards, was installed around the edges, complemented by a tall gate. The client is delighted, and we take pride in another job successfully completed by Noll Countryside Services.
