A lunge pen (also called round pen) where the surface and fencing has degraded is dangerous so a client engaged us to rebuild the structure and take away the waste.
We started by removing the existing fencing and responsibly disposing of the waste. We saved the top dressing since this is expensive and can be re-used for the new lunge pen. We then excavated the base which required a small adjustment to the site to ensure that the new lunge pen would be perfectly level and have good drainage.
We then laid a new solid crushed rock foundation with a top blinding layer. Then comes the membrane to stop the top dressing mixing. The client required a metal lunge pen which we procured and installed in line with the manufacturers specifications so that all guarantees are valid.
Finally we make good around the edges, replace the top dressing and the round pen is ready for use.
